About Me

Hi everyone! IMG_0053

I am currently a teacher at Sandia High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  I am teaching AP U.S. Government and Politics, AP Economics with an emphasis on Macro econ, and International Baccalaureate History of the Americas.  I have previously taught regular Government and Economics, AP World History, and regular World History.  I have a bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Master’s in Business Administration and Econometrics from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

I have worked as a merchandise buyer and VP at Shillito’s a Federated Department Store, Macy’s in New York, and May Company in Los Angeles.  I came to Albuquerque in 1985 as the head of store merchandising at American Furniture.  I started my own business, Patim, Inc., in 1989 and it still exists today, importing textiles from the Far East.

I have four children, ages 20-29.  My wife, Patsy, is my best friend and partner and we have been married since 1989.

I am blessed to have found the teaching profession and I love watching my kids learn every day.
